It's Story & Philosophy
By staying away from strict rules and believing in the charm of going with the flow, Night Shift has improved its designs with the inspiration it has received from women, women who have turned all obstacles into advantages, discovered their power, have not given up on their own style despite populist movements and proto-type pressures.
Their aim is for all women who tend to have aesthetic concerns, artistic needs, and visual harmony as part of their life, without aiming at beauty and appearance…
Not hesitating to divulge its own style against the general rules of fashion, Night Shift, aims to develop a contemporary dressing habit for the era by adopting Cool, Cult and Connected approaches.
COOL-CULT-CONNECTED
Cool; to complete oneself with an impressive look as if no effort has been spent, while there is a serious amount of effort behind it… A woman who is open to self-discovery, sees her outer appearance as part of her lifestyle and personality, and uses clothes to express herself... In the end, beyond fashion trends, she is an aesthetic and happy woman.
Connected; we love nature and we take the responsibility to protect it. Instead of using it and consuming it in one go, we make smart designs in order to ensure that the same feelings are passed on to the next customer. Like, one design can be worn by a few people or can be worn a few times… We also have a goal of bringing like-minded people together. On the other hand, while becoming a beneficial, thoughtful, nature-friendly brand that assists the collective life with the rental system, we aim to attract more people in this path. Night Shift will resume its own path, even if all these approaches are against the consumption habits of the fashion industry.
Cult; the desire to create images that can inspire or stay in minds for generations, or for us to have a partnership and be a part of a time where our customers feel their best, look their best, remember their journeys and to always look back on the best versions of themselves.
READY-TO-COUTURE
“To dress up and go out, look chic and beautiful shouldn’t be that hard”, by focusing on this thought and making sure women are at ease on their special days, Night Shift developed the “ready-to-couture” system, where couture pieces are designed with the logic of ready wear pieces, manufactured and tailor-made for the individual wear, by fittings. With smart couture patterns and by taking less time and budget of the customer, it also aims to reach more people. Shortly by considering many parameters and bringing them all together, it is a brand which delivers a dress from scratch in a week, it gives the opportunity to use the same dress for many designs over and over again.
ONLINE
While designing its couture designs, the brand also continues to keep up with the speed of the era, and also provides online couture services for domestic and international demands. The customer; can easily share her measurements, model and color selections of the dress online. Depending on the measurements, the sewing process of the dress is completed and it is delivered to the address. If upon delivery any alterations need to be made, the brand continues to provide online support.
WOMEN WHO INSPIRE
The inspiration for Night Shift is women once again! Women who reestablish themselves and leave their mark! To research these names, read their life stories, follow their works closely, has been an enjoyable process by designer Sümeyra Mangır, with the hopes that this inspiration will pass on to all women, and believes that the success of the brand will be strengthened. An additional goal is to introduce these women to everyone using different projects…
FOUNDER & DESIGNER SÜMEYRA MANGIR
During her Geological Engineering education at Istanbul Technical University, Sümeyra Mangır started working on fashion by sewing dance costumes for her friends and also designing for some button down shirt brands.
Upon graduating, she firstly worked in companies which manufactured in France and later on in the UK market for a period of 2,5 years and afterwards goes to New York. Here she gained experience in couture and stage costumes, while also observing the world-class designers, and how things work in this matter as well as the global market.
Exactly on these days with the idea of founding her brand, the designer establishes Night Shift in 2012.
